Starting next!!

Welcome to 2unity's blog~!!!
We are supposed to blog about our perth trip schedule and what we done...
We, 2 Unity-rians, 10 of us have enjoyed ourselves very much during the Perth trip.
Well,who doesn't.
The 10 of us consists of 6 girls and 4 boys.
Let me introduce..
Girls:Janna Tan, Heng Yi Fan, Shum Wen Qi, Fiona Ng, Tan Su Yi and Peh Sok Man.
Boys: Phang De Jin, Ng Yi Da, Brian Lek Yuh Tyng and Kurt Poh.
Australia is a good country after all with the people there all friendly...
Why dont we migrate to Australia?

It's a new beginning~!!!

First Day~
17 May, Saturday.

IT'S THE DAY!!!
Goodbye to Singapore~
Hello to Perth~
Although we reached on Saturday, we got boarded the plane at around midnight.
On the plane, we was all feeling very cold.
Perth's weather was a great difference from Singapore.
Singapore was stuffy and hot while Perth can be cold and warm at some times.
After around 5-6 hours of travelling, we finally reached the airport.
After checking out, we boarded the bus and went to Kings Park.
We went there and took some pictures.
Next, we proceed to some galleries.
We had fish and chips for our lunch.
It was nice and delicious!=)
After eating our lunch, we went to the Weekend Markets.
We bought some souvenirs for ourselves and of course, for our friends.
We were given about less than 1 hour to shop.
As, it was already afternoon.
We boarded the bus again and carried on with our journey.
We went to many places with beautiful structures.
But, most of us were sleeping. :x
We were all taking a break...
It took us about 2 hours to reach the farm.
Finally, we went to Orchard Glory Farm to check in.
We had our dinner and went to sleep in our rooms.

Day 2~

Day 2~

18 May, Sunday.

We woke up at 7 and met at 8.
We had our breakfast and went feeding the animals nearby our farm stay.
We went to the wine yard and knew about the procedures of making red wine.
But, we can't drink while all teachers could take one each and bring back to Singapore.
We took our group photo.Next, was our free time.
We decided to meet up with our classmates to go and pick fruits.
The oranges were mostly sour but
we managed to find some sweet ones and make into juices.
It was time and we had our lunch.
It was yet another short free time for us.
This time, we used this time to make the orange into ICE!
Everything was ready and had to wait for the ice to freeze.
Treasure hunt time~
We had to split ourselves into 4 groups of 15/16.
Our group, 7 of us were together, others were all the others boys.
In our group, mostly were boys and there were only 3 girls.
So, during the game, the boys said that we must win.
If not, they will lose "face".
Firstly we had to blow the balloons and stack them up,
higher than a chair to get the first clue.
When we had the clue, we had to find about 7 fruits and 15 different kinds of leaves.
We still need to find out how many procedures there are to make red wine.
Next challenge was, we had an egg and scotch tape.
All we had to do was to protect the egg from being smashed
when dropped from a certain distance high.
We could only use natural things like leaves...
Last task for us was to take the same pictures given to us.
We split ourselves to find the places.
In the end, we won the game.
We got in first and the price were sweets and titbits.
Then, we had our dinner and campfire.
Campfire, we cheered in groups and started
to walk behind one another back to the room like a "worm".=)
We continued the night with Movie Night.
Some of us didn't watched finished the show as we were all tired and
we had not bathed.
So, we went early back, bathed and slept.

Day 3~

Day 3~

19 May, Monday.

It’s time to say goodbye to Orchard Glory Farm.
We had enjoyed our stay there!
The 2 hours coach ride to Caversham Wildlife Park,
was another opportunity for us to get to sleep! :D
After we had arrived in the park, we got the chance to feed the animals there!
(rabbits, guinea pigs [which really tend to bite!], cow and the pig…etc)
Others paid to get the camel ride…
We also ‘visited’ the kangaroos and interacted with the koalas…
The Kangaroos were very friendly and cute,
while the Koalas have unique and special habits/ living conditions.
After feeding and interacting with the animals, we had our lunch! (DELICIOUS)
After fulfilling our hunger, we went to the art gallery and museum!
We all agreed that the art pieces there were really interesting and attractive!
We even got to see paintings done by popular artists which was really lucky…
After which, we were given time to shop at the shopping mall.
(Where we got the chance to buy some souvenirs for our friends back in Singapore)
We also bought some cup noodles and other finger food for our supper,
In case we got hungry in the middle of the night.
(Which many of us did, at the Orchard Glory Farm where we do not have the opportunity to purchase food and stuff.)
Lastly, we had our dinner and check in to the motel/apartment.
It was a really fun day that we all enjoyed and all of us were looking forward to the activities held on the next day. :D

Day 4~

Day 4~

20 May, Tuesday.

When we stay in the hotel, we had to make our own breakfast.
So, we had our breakkfast and gathered down at the lobby.
We set off to Mercedes Colledge.
There was those introduction of the school going on.
We split ourselves into groups of 5.
The students took us around the colledge.
What we can say was, their colledge was BIG!
As we think we could get lost if we were to walk around alone.
After walking around, we went to classes to see how they learn.
We went to either Year 11 or Year 12 classes.
The class which one of us went into was learning about laws.
The students was very enthusiastic,
Most of them raise up their hands and answer the teacher's question.
We had our lunch and continued the journey.
We went nougat factory first then chocolate factory.
We have bought many things for the nougat and chocolate factory.
After that, we went shopping.
We had Subway for our dinner and proceed to Curtin University to attend the jewellery workshop.
First, we had to make our own design for it and cut it out.
We do not have enough time to complete everything,so we continued doing it the next day.
It was late and we went back to hotel to sleep.

Day 5~

Day 5~

21 May, Wednesday.
We had our breakfast at our apartment,then proceed to the Curtin University to continue our uncompleted work.
We were able to finish making our necklace.
It was about noon when we finished.
We had our lunch at the Chicken Treat.
We sat in the bus for about 3 hours to the Pinnacles Desert.
It was sleeping time for us again.=P
Upon reaching, we get down the bus and strolled with the guide.
We took another group photo.
We travelled back.
It was again, another 3 hours.
We went to a restaurant and anothers was already waiting.
We had our dinner and walked back to our hotel.

Home Sweet Home~

Last Day~
22 May, Thursday.

We had our breakfast at our apartment.
We had to check out in the morning and say "bye" to out apartment.
We started the day with the fun activities.
First, we went on a little cruise trip around the river.
After touring around, we started the sand dune.
We had to climb up the sand hill.
Reached the top, the scenery was beautiful.
When it was about time, most students slided down.
We had our lunch nearby the river.
We went to our bus driver's house after lunch as we still had time.
After that, we went shopping somewhere near the bus driver's house.
We went to chinese restaurant for our dinner.
We celebrated Ms Quan's birthday.
Last activity was the late night shopping.
Shopped and went to the airport.
Many of us were quite sad and do not wish to leave perth but we have no choice.
We reach Singapore at around 6.35am.

Summary/Reflections~

Well, we believe that everyone enjoyed this trip to Perth and still vividly remembered our fun time at there. Perth is a wonderful place and is also a place for relaxation. It also gone beyond our imagination of having to think the places we would be visiting. , with all those amazing sceneries, friendly and helpful people we met and relaxing lifestyles. Of course, not forgetting the art galleries, chocolate factories, limestones, king’s park, the farm we had stayed in, the wild life park, museums, the school we had visited, the jewellery workshop and many more that we had visited. After this trip, we learnt about the people daily lifestyles, their cultures, also the history of some places in Perth and the DELICIOUS food we had.
Besides all these, we also learnt that Australians are very responsive and participative when it comes to answering questions in the class or even asking relevant questions. We believed that all of us are impressed with such positive learning attitudes of the Australians.
We also felt that the students in the school really respect the teachers. They greeted the teachers whenever they meet them … I feel that we should learn from them as we does not have such a habit!
Lastly, I would like to add that if we were given another opportunity to visit Australia or even mingle with the school kids again, we would be most happy and willing!
In conclusion, the Perth trip was a fruitful one and everyone has learnt a lot there. We would definitely try our best to ‘follow’ the good examples of our friends back in Perth.
